Hi, I'm Jordan Gardiner, a product and UI/UX designer based in Brisbane, Australia.
I feel like I've always had a knack for both design and code, starting off formally by completing a Certificate IV in Multimedia during high school.
In my time at Griffith University undertaking a Bachelor of Multimedia, I was admitted to the Golden Key International Honour Society and attended the 2015 Startup Catalyst Youth Mission. My skills in design and development were of such a high standard that I taught web design as a replacement lecturer and tutor at Griffith for a semester whilst still studying.
For the first decade of my working career, I developed countless websites for clients as a web developer, originally on the Gold Coast for iOnline as a casual employee for seven years, then later in Brisbane for JSAcreative, full-time for one and a half years.
In January 2018 I switched my career focus to become a product designer at Popgun Labs, a Brisbane-based startup. My focus there was on crafting world-class, never-before-seen experiences utilising Popgun’s powerful music artificial intelligence skills.
The current COVID-19 pandemic has briefly brought me back into the world of web development, but moving forwards I do wish to seek a role within product and UI/UX design to become more of a key decision-maker in making great digital products, and to make a greater positive impact on the planet.
My passions away from my professional life include film photography, logo design and branding, keeping up to date with the latest tech news, drinking great filter coffee, and cats.
