I had a conversation today with my contact at a staffing agency I'm working through. It was refreshing to talk plainly with her about numbers, explain why I was asking the rates I feel I am worth, and for her to explain the limitations of the clients they are currently working with. While I don't expect to hit my target rates for a bit, the open communication was extremely refreshing.
