The MTNN Coverage Locator was initially built in 2015, using outdated tools and dependencies. This posed a number of technical challenges, including but not limited to:
- Fixing and replacing outdated tools and dependencies: The first challenge was to identify and fix any outdated tools and dependencies that were used in the application. This was a time-consuming process, as it required us to research the latest versions of the tools and dependencies and then update the application accordingly.
- Moving the application from on-premise to the cloud: The second challenge was to move the application from on-premise to the cloud. This required us to re-architect the application to make it cloud-compatible. This was a complex process, as it involved making changes to the application's infrastructure, data storage, and security.
We had to make some difficult decisions, such as whether to rewrite the entire application using modern technologies. Ultimately, we decided to keep the existing solution and only replace parts where it made sense.
The MTNN Coverage Locator is now a modern, cloud-based application that is able to meet the needs of MTNN's subscribers and retail staff.
