Hi 👋, I'm Josin. I grew up in Miami in a Jamaican-Asian family, and since then have lived all over — including Chicago, London, Hong Kong, San Francisco & Beijing.
My background is wide-ranging. In college (@NU) I created a nonprofit to bridge cultural barriers across Chicago by placing foreign students in US internships. In grad school (@LSE), I studied the economics of "how we form cities," and designed an economic model to alleviate poverty through addressing urban housing needs in developing countries. And over the years I've also taught English in China, invested in real estate, traded stock options, ran an education site for engineers, and even moonlit as a travel agent (for "research" purposes).
Nothing about my path has been direct; but the common fuel has always been a curiosity to explore new perspectives, figure out how they connect, and use that to create something meaningful in the world.
