Graduated university

Convocation from University of Waterloo

after almost five whole years, i finally finished my undergrad and convocated! i now have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, with a minor in English Language and Literature.

convocation wasn't what i expected at all (thanks, COVID-19), but you could say the same for my degree in general. random milestones i had, in roughly chronological order:
  • failed a course
  • passed a course with 50% on the dot (x2)
  • changed my major
  • studied on campus until 5:45am for an exam that started at 12:30pm. a topic we reviewed at 4:30am was worth 10% of the exam. worth it, but never did it again
  • got a minor in something completely unrelated to my major
  • cali'd (i.e. worked a co-op in california)
  • was an orientation leader (x2, 2017 + 2019)
  • dropped a course with ~3 weeks till finals
  • won a scholarship
  • tried continuing at a co-op part-time during school
    • this was a bad idea in general, but especially because of COVID-19
  • got an 80% term average while maintaining a full course load
    • once, and this was huge for me considering i was regularly in the 60s
  • worked all 6 of my co-ops (and took a course during half of them)
  • survived online school ✌️✌️✌️
