I always loved designing PCBs. Here is a PCI card with a Xilinx FPGA I routed with my friend Laurent Gauch back in the days. 

This routing was all done by us, no autorouter, using P-CAD. The board has 8 copper layers.

PS: if you search the Internet for PCB manufacturers in China, you might see this card in their marketing page 🙄.
