Today we are releasing AgiScan 3.0.0 RC1.
AgiScan is a Qt/C++ desktop application for Windows and Mac. We initially developed it for the Cinetis film scanner, which never worked because we were too bad at mechanical design.
This is when we meet MWA Nova, a film scanner manufacturer based in Berlin. We presented AgiScan to their boss on a laptop during the IBC show in Amsterdam. We went back home with a contract and worked for MWA during 3-4 years until their bought the source code.
During that time, I learned a lot about Qt, C++, widgets, threads, GPUs and deadlines 😅.
