problem: car buyers don’t trust dealers with their information, and they hesitate to begin the process due to mistrust and lack of understanding about pricing/funding

goal: increase dealer to buyer trust by privately negotiating an easy-to-understand deal digitally, leading to more car sales

car buyer outcomes: 
  • negotiate actual monthly and downpayments without providing personal information
  • review clear and transparent fee documentation
  • ask questions and reach final deal agreement directly with car dealer

car dealer outcomes: 
  • upload and manage dealership inventory
  • walk buyers throughout the process, potentially recommend more than one car

lessons learned: 
  • scale agile development by breaking up functionality into smaller balanced teams
  • stand strong, be prepared to back up your design choices with reasons
