Interesting and sobering view into the disproportionate effect the pandemic has had on women in the workforce, especially women of color. After being laid off from a director level role at the start of the pandemic, I spent most of 2020 unemployed and struggling to confront the reality of downshifting my career. I can’t even begin to imagine how these challenges would be uniquely compounded if I were a WOC, a mother - or both. It’s devastating to look at this data and imagine the impact it could have on the next generation entering the workforce. We MUST keep women in leadership roles and help them thrive.
