Spontaneous vs perfectionism which one wins?

From procrastinator to action taker - does an instant decision pay off?

Today me and my husband we’re exploring El Nido Beach.

We was approached by a random seller asking us if we wanted to rent a kayak Without a moment’s hesitation I jumped in first and said yes.

Now this may seem very basic to some people.

However for the perfectionist and planners of the world you may understand more how much of a leap this is.

You see only a few years ago I probably would have said no.

Why?

Because I used to plan things to the minute detail.

Some planning is great however I would invest a lot of time and energy.

Then because I was a perfectionist feel frustrated when things didn’t go as planned.

Now I try my best to throw caution to the wind and feel the fear and do it anyway.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not planning on saying hello to a great white 🦈 anytime soon.

I still have some fears and that’s ok as long as I confront them if I can and more importantly want to.

In the case of the kayaking we had a great spontaneous time.

The only thing that would have made it better is some slight planning so we could have taken snacks, water and a raincoat!

But we still had smiles on our faces as we washed the sand from our feet and walked the beach front back to the apartment.

I would much rather be soaked staring at a turquoise ocean 🌊 after an afternoon kayaking working for myself, choosing my freedom and keeping my procrastination at bay.

What life do you want and do you know how to get yourself there?
