Pretty wild one, at Chucklefish this year we have been trialling a new Product Lead format for all our titles across the publishing team. I have been Product Lead and Producer on Wargroove 2 which meant my role expanded in a lot of ways this year.


Not only was I responsible for standard indie production tasks - including team management, project planning, QA and Loc management and all release management tasks.


I was ALSO very involved in marketing strategy (I'm not going to say "responsible" because let's be real, I have no idea how to market a game, that shit is magic.) We've learned a lot. Finishing a video game AND launching it is a lot of moving parts when aiming for the heights Chucklefish aim for. However, Chucklefish's publishing team is made up of fantastic people who are experts in their field. They supported Wargroove 2 with Influencer, Press, Socials, Ads, Showcases, Community work and a lot more and I mostly did what I could between wrapping up the game and cheered them along.


My appreciation for publishing and all the moving parts encompassing it has grown massively. I'm super proud of Wargroove 2's delivery in both Marketing and especially Production-wise (check out those reviews).


We did it. Well done Robotality on making a sequel that improved on the first in every way 🥂
