I switched roles within Opendoor onto the City Operations & Strategy team on the "SWAT" team - this meant being the associate GM that: 

  • Stood up the 1st working iteration of business reviews at Opendoor, mapping out the core input and output metrics across the business, and training the cities on understanding the metrics + playbooks so that decision making could be decentralized across markets
  • Partnered with the GMs + coaching them and their teams on how to improve their growth pace and margin through ops initiatives and analytics; mainly on our East and Western divisions
  • Co-owned and delivered an Opendoor top-priority of driving contribution margin profitability in our mature markets through P&L management, standing up a large volume of parallel margin improving initiatives, and holding cross-functional teams accountable for improvements.
