ROLE: Operations Project Manager

PROJECT: Telecommunications
CLIENT: Brightspeed – Charlotte, NC
Assigned to the building of new processes for the PMO office and initiating new projects for business operations. Managed the launching of a new product initiative of telecommunications solutions specializing in providing a faster telecommunications experience to customers.
Responsibilities include creating business cases and project charters, coordinate internal resources and Telco Operators/third parties/vendors for the execution of projects, creating process documents, tracking PMO projects productivity, driving key milestones, facilitating weekly status meetings, reporting to key stakeholders, mitigating risks and issues, and providing transparency and communication to the project.
Challenges revolve around prioritizing operations projects, keeping project managers on a weekly cadence of projects productivity, implementing new processes and ensuring the team follows the new procedures, gathering updates on current project task from assignees.
The PMO is currently being developed and we have implemented several new operations strategies for company success. The launch of the new telecommunications product is underway and 100% complete with no major risk to mitigate.
▪ Develop innovative programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
▪ Participate throughout the Design Control process on new product project teams as a member of the extended Life Cycle Team representing Operations ▪ Work with internal and external cross-functional business partners on operations and client facing programs and assist in developing, delivering and implementing telecommunications initiatives and support tools
