Development Intern @ El Centro de la Raza
El Centro de la Raza is an organization that is grounded in the Latino community of Seattle. As stated in their mission, they aim "to build the Beloved Community through unifying all racial and economic sectors" and helping the marginalized population.
During my time here, I worked diligently to encourage donations. I did so by assisting donation booths at community events, reaching out to past donors, and building up a good relationship with organizations.
My biggest project was assisting with the Christmas tree sales. I handled outreach, promotion, and holiday appeal. Through my efforts and dedication, I was able to help increase sales by 300% from the previous year.
