Just had a great interview with Ansgar Koene: Global AI Ethics & Regulatory Leader at EY.
Some things we discussed:
- who bears the responsibility for what's being published on social media platforms?
- how effective have the current regulations, e.g. the GDPR, been?
- the nature of recommender systems;
- the Unbias project, which dug into how children between the ages of 13 - 17 view their online experiences & the algorithms behind their feed;
- the nature of algorithmic bias;
- thoughts on recent events that have happened (e.g. Cambridge Analytica and Facebook's decision to remove its facial recognition algorithm).
Will be releasing this episode in the next few weeks!
