It was a great privilege to lead an impactful conversation on technology and the future of work over the weekend with the team of volunteers at Myllash Youth Foundation Initiative's maiden summit within the heart of Abuja, FCT, Nigeria. The conversations with the invited guests brought to light the peculiar challenges of living and schooling in this part of the world. We engaged the audience about the art & science of technology, and why we need to be prepared to become valuable, contributing members of society by acquiring high-income skills such as UI/UX Design, Digital Marketing, Coding & Software Engineering. Keynote speakers also highlighted the fact that you really do not have to have a genius-level intellect to start your journey in tech. All you need is some determination, tenacity, consistency, and practice. We also understand the impact that having a mentor can have on your career in tech, and so Myllash has designed a scholarship program to help ease the burden of those seeking to break into tech by providing the knowledge and mentorship they need to scale.
