I succeeded to migrate my server monitoring to the Elastic Cloud.

Although I have to manage only a handful of servers (Windows and Linux machines, on-premise and cloud), I'm so happy to have a one-stop-solution now. My infrastructure is not super critical, but there are some web-apps and websites that should be online and functional.

I started with remote access and scrolling through log files at the beginning (many years ago...), then used Zabbix, Prometheus and Grafana on a on-premise machine. Of course the amount of logs from containers and syslog increased and I when my little office-server went down a ton of logging and metrics were gone :-(

The elastic cloud is amazing! Just installed some "beats" on the machines and configured some rules on the metrics and monitoring was up and running in a few hours and better than ever :-)

To all those semi-professional ops like me I can recommand elastic cloud as a service. Happy monitoring!
