Celebrating five-year anniversary as Python core developer.
Five years ago today, on January 27, 2017, I was given the commit right to the Python programming language, and became one of the Python core developers.
Being a maintainer of one of the most popular open source projects has been challenging, and comes with added responsibilities. I have grown and learned so much since then. It opened doors and opportunities which I thought had been impossible before. I've made lots of new friends and met Python community members around the world.
It truly is a privilege, and I'm grateful for the Python community for this experience 😊 Thank you, Python!
