I have been absolutely obsessed with High on the Hog. Don't be fooled - this is not your late morning cooking show. The limited series is all about telling us the story of African-American cuisine and culture that has been oppressed in so many ways but especially when it comes to truthful storytelling and historical representation. This is not a story about fitting in; this is a story about standing out.
