I recently complete Donna Tartt's hit novel "The Secret History". This novel is one for the ages. With great character development, atmosphere and pacing the pages seemed to just fly by. The only criticism that I can provide the novel is that around 50% in, many of the chapters do begin to slog with overbearing descriptions and not much actual story development. While this helps build the mood of the story, I can see it turning off many readers and becoming a DNF. Regardless, I became absolutely engaged and connected to the pages and I would highly recommend The Secret History to any fans of Dark Academia literature. 10/10.
