As a software engineer, you need to get comfortable with sudden changes in priorities. I encountered one of these priority shifts today but after years in this field, you learn to take it in stride.

I was able to switch gears, investigate an issue, propose a solution, and submit the code change to address the issue in just a couple of hours. This work was made exponentially easier thanks to the fact that my fellow engineers at Auth0 write maintainable, readable code. I was able to leverage a module that already existed and was built in a flexible manner which allowed me to simply implement it where needed. Yea for five-line code changes! 🎉

Since it's Friday afternoon I thought I'd share some non-work-related photos. I've found over the last several years that I really enjoy photography and here is a small sampling of some of my favorite images. I plan on investing in a solid astrophotography camera and lens soon and documenting my journey with this hobby through a future YouTube channel. More to come! 🌙
