Wrote a DACI
Interviewed an Engineer
Meeting-heavy day for me today! Some might cringe just reading that sentence but meetings present opportunities for engineers, especially when you're speaking with colleagues outside of your team and even outside the engineering domain. These are excellent opportunities to develop relationships with coworkers you do not normally interact with and to share how your work is integral to the success of the company and the success of your customers!

I just wrapped up a meeting to discuss a DACI I recently wrote. DACI stands for: Driver, Approver, Contributor, Informed and is a framework used to help make complex decisions involving cross-functional teams. Thaisa Fernandes does an excellent job describing DACIs in "DACI Framework: a Tool For Group Decisions"!

I'll be wrapping up my day this afternoon by conducting an interview as my team at Auth0 is currently looking to hire at least two more engineers. I really enjoy interviewing as I love interacting with people, learning about their backgrounds, and seeing how they think through problems! Interviews also give me an opportunity to share everything I ๐Ÿงก about Auth0!

The picture attached to this post is just me humble-bragging about the awesome robot mask my daughter made for me to pair with my first PC build. She turns 5 today which is hard to believe and makes me feel simultaneously old and proud. ๐Ÿ™‚ #GirlDad
