At my best I deliver uncommon strategic insight.  I take people/teams facing demanding realities go FROM 'The way forward (if there is one!) is bleak!' TO 'The way forward is surprisingly compelling!'

I unearth many ideas and sift through to find those that are both novel and useful (ie.valuable).  My thinking is naturally nimble and integrative, wide ranging and convergent.  In situations that are pressured and emotionally demanding I am non-attached and able to stay playfully open to the unexpected.  I communicate ideas powerfully in ways that enliven and stir both the head and the heart.

Currently I am a No-Code/Low-Code Consultant and Developer with Baseweave (which I founded).  I am in-between a freelancer and a founder (no employees but a few other freelancers work for my business).  I love that No-Code/Low-Code flips the sense of helplessness for many businesses and creative production teams and  that my role gets me working on solutions to diverse problems in businesses and teams across industries and the size spectrum.  Generally I build solutions with Airtable.

Video and audio are my preferred communication styles, writing is close behind.

I always have a side-project that I am tinkering with and one of the key reasons I'm here on Polywork is that I have experienced enough failure to know that I need to collaborate.  I am more the visionary than the implementor.

I've been thinking a lot lately about two things that give me that kind of 'this pisses me off' energy:

1. It pisses me off when people feel helplessly exiled from work that aligns well with who they are.  I have been thinking about creating a workshop/course/experience (designed to be replicable) around the idea of a community of listening/discernment, the key idea being that often we need the truth about who we are to be reflected back to us in others.

2. It pisses me off when people are suffering from a common problem and the pattern when they find one another is to turn that energy into complaining.  I think this reflects a sense of helplessness to actually do something about a problem.  I love working with teams of people and could see myself trying collaborating with others to facilitate problem solving processes that turn that energy into something needed and important.

I think a lot about social practices/social technologies as replacing the need for strong leaders/facilitators.  I'm also thinking a lot about the kinds of structures needed to solve future problems.

I have struggled with mental health and have found breakthroughs with internal family systems (IFS) work including self-therapy.

I connect best by meeting people for 20 minutes over a video call and just talking about what we are both up to.
