Hi! I’m Matt Bloomfield. I love to build things that make people’s lives easier. Whether it’s developer tooling or full scale applications I feel fulfilled taking products through the lifecycle of idea, to wireframe, to reality.
I started my career in customer service where I learned what it was like to directly interface with users and hear their needs on a daily basis. As I learned to code at nights and on weekends it was driven by my desire to better serve them and my peers. After transferring to Internal Engineering I began to build applications to enhance the productivity of our customer service team. Eventually I moved to the product team, building developer-focused apps that removed busywork from their lives.
At the US Chamber of Commerce I developed a host of web applications, from datamarts to domain certificate provisioners, the work was diverse and fun. I capped off my time there architecting and building the new CMS and front end to power USChamber.com, their flagship site.
I now work at Fairly, an early stage startup in the Real Estate Tech space working on creating equitable tax burdens for property owners. As the Lead Engineer I work heavily with the Product Owner to turn ideas into reality.
