Fractals

I created art with math! More specifically, I drew Barnsley's Fern which is a fractal. Through the repetitive use of four mathematical functions, we get this beautiful yet simple fractal; a fern.

Multi-line Co Imaging of Two ULIRGs

My team and I completed and submitted our analysis of data collected from the IRAM Plateau de Bure Interferometer(PdBI), which is now part of the Northern Extended Millimeter Array(NOEMA). Our work was focused on four sets of ULIRG observations, or Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies. We set out to estimate/calculate both the total dynamical mass and the total molecular gas mass of the two ULIRGs, iras15250 and iras17208; 2 sets of observations for each ULIRG.

Ran Bayesian Methods on Financial Market Data

My team and I set out to see whether Bayesian methods could have been used to successfully predict the financial crisis of 2008 by looking at delinquency rates on loans. We specifically used Bayesian Structural Time Series (BSTS).

Twitter?

This twitter clone/bot is a side project that I completed as part of the UC Irvine coursework. This iOS app opens up to what looks like a notepad with default text which can be edited. Once the user has input what he/she would like, and granted that the simulator is signed into a twitter and/or facebook account, the text will be posted to their twitter or facebook account. If the message is too long for twitter, the user will be notified. If the simulator is not signed into a twitter or facebook, the user will be notified upon trying to share as well.
