COVID brought about some terrible things but one of its silver linings was Telemedicine 2.0. Telemedicine 1.0 has been around for a while, but with federal and state admin barriers, it made it impossible to practice.
Ever since COVID, those restrictions have been largely lifted and reworked. They gave the American people a taste and they said, “oh whaaa, I could have been doing this the whole time! I want more please!”
I am an NYC-based Dermatology PA and I specialize in acne, eczema, and psoriasis treatments. Dermatology is a visual specialty that makes telemedicine opportunities very attractive! But tech has had a hard time breaking into the healthcare space.
One reason is doctors can be quite resistant to change. But what's different this time, the demand for more telemedicine is growing. So, since the creation of EMRs, doctors are getting interested in learning more about tech and practice efficiencies.
This brings me to why I am posting – I am looking for a web developer/software engineer co-founder who is interested in creating a very much-needed platform for Dermatology.
With my extensive Dermatological background, the product plans and who is fluent in “doctor speak” and your web development, design, and logical skills, we could build a product that has a big impact on reducing a lot of disparities in Derm.
