How I spent my summer

This summer, I’ve changed my location for the second time in half a year. I moved to Poland at the end of May and was open to new career prospects and opportunities. My movement meant that I need to start job searches from the beginning because it was a little complicated to find something in Poland when you are not there, especially in my case (I was in a very special place for the last few months).

I’ve started posting my CV through different chats, searched through LinkedIn, communicated with relocants in order to know whether there are open positions in their companies, and poked around on job sites. It was like a working day for me, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. I spent time at the computer. I took it very seriously. I went through interview after interview in English, Polish and Russian, did tests from recruiters, and waited. A lot of waiting. There were times when I felt like I was at rock bottom.

Everything changed when I met the recruiter. Everything was a little different, like it was before. In the end, I join the Imaguru team.

All the time I was looking for a new job, I had a family business to work on. We’ve opened a family driving school in Warsaw, but to tell the truth my passion is not only marketing & communications but also a startup movement. I wanted to work in this sphere again. Who knows me a little, know about projects I’ve launched in Belarus with my friend.

These days, almost three months have been spent working in the company. But even today, when I look back at myself three months ago, I can say that there has been a change in me. During this period, I ask myself a list of questions. I saw that company goals matches with my personal ones, I got to know my colleagues better, company products, and directions. There are still many things I want to catch up on, but all the activity motivates me to dig deeper into all of it.

Today, Poland is a great place to develop your IT project. Imaguru is exactly working on it, helping founders to scale their startups here and globally. This is the place, where professionals could build their network, successfully search for the best tech talents, find the right mentors, and raise money.

Our global mission is to empower entrepreneurs to change the world through innovations. We believe when people have access to the right tools and resources, they'll be able to generate extraordinary things. We are in Warsaw to inspire, unite and support startups from Belarus and Ukraine. We invite founders to join our community in Poland and globally to develop a European startup community.

Imaguru is a Partner of Google for Startups since 2021. And now we have even more opportunities to build the bridge between Eastern European and Western European Startup and venture communities.

Are you a founder, mentor, tech talent, student, relocant or just keen on startups and IT? Welcome to our community: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook. We are only starting to operate in Poland, but we’d like to know you better.

While we are operating here in Poland as Imaguru Startup Hub Warsaw, the city and the locals here inspire me to write tweets about the local startup ecosystem and my marketing career and make stories about Warsaw city and startup projects on Instagram, I started to write notes again, and set up this blog on Medium.

Let’s stay tuned! Follow me and learn more about projects and people who are working and developing here in Poland!
