Enjoyed Shoe Dog much more than I expected. Lives up to the hype, although I could also see it being criticized on a number of fronts. Great story and good building of tension, I kept turning the pages.

Now hiring
I'm hiring a software developer, more details here. Don't take the "Senior" too seriously; open to candidates of varying experience.

I'm trying to post here as an experiment after trying LinkedIn's tools and getting frustrated with how expensive it is to do their core use case:

As a hiring manager, I want to see people who are looking for work.

I searched for 20 minutes to figure out how to do this only to realize I needed to contact sales and pay much more in order to do it.

Anyway, I'm hiring!

Read a book
Just finished "The Art of Learning" by Josh Waizkin, who was the real-life subject of the movie "Searching for Bobby Fischer". After being a chess prodigy and success, he switched to martial arts and became world champion, as you do. His insights into high-level performance are fascinating, and I was surprised to learn that chess and martial arts play-by-plays can keep me engaged. Great read.

"Wrote a snarky, not-serious blog post that people took too seriously" activity tag wasn't defined, and I'm not going to be the one to define it....
