For everyone who needs a little pick me up or just needs to restore their faith in humankind:
This episode of the Munalogues is for parents, teachers, and everyone working with children or who themselves at one point experienced bullying, aggressive behaviour, or a toxic work environment.
But things can change. Sara Lane, Research Director at Roots of Empathy Canada, shares her experience of how to make a difference that has an impact on society for a peaceful future.

If you're interested in communication, self-development, building trust, intercultural awareness, and how we can arrive at a better understanding of one another (and why it is so tricky) and so much more, I was invited to have a chat about all of this with Ismael von der Gathen from 'Just Another Mindset' podcast, a podcast all about sharing inspiration and tangible techniques on how to change towards living a more exciting life.

Check out the new podcast episode with Muna Wagner "Why COMMUNICATION is EVERYTHING | 012” if you want to learn more about communication, active listening, self-awareness and cultivating an open mind.

Make sure to let me know your thoughts and join the conversation.

In this episode we discuss the state as parent so naturally, Alex reads an excerpt from a 1950s science-fiction story and Muna takes us on a trip to Burkina Faso and the Gambia. We discuss self-reliance, democracy, social cohesion, Swiss referenda and political soap operas.
Is too much state oversight and protection bad for societies and individuals, reducing individual responsibility and initiative? Or do we need the protective umbrella that an all-powerful government gives us?

This episode has a slower pace than usual because we recorded it at the end of winter and our brains were not at their most perky. But we doubt that the state as parent could have done anything against that.

With all that's currently going on in the world, I really needed some stories about peace.
And I found them in Israel and Nigeria, stories from people who despite "it all" still work towards creating and building peace in their communities.
If you need a little pick me up or hope and optimism I invite you to meet Chefs for Peace and other great people.
Hint: food matters.

Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a theory of psychology explaining human motivation based on the pursuit of different levels of needs.

Maslow developed his theory in 1943 - but does it still hold true in the world today? If it does it would imply that humanity hasn't developed over the last 80 years, we just got more technology.

A discussion on needs in modern life ... Enjoy The Cynic & The Optimist latest episode.

Talked some trash and how to waste less with Indian NGO WasteLess.

Ribhu Vohra and Chandrah Nusselein are the power duo that changes the way children all over India think and act when it comes to waste. Through experimentation, research and the participation of teachers and students alike the WasteLess team develops educational materials that empower children to think critically, inspire environmentally responsible behaviour and drive future systemic change.

And while they work with children, they have an impact on adults, too. I know, for I am one of them. For it's never too late to waste less.
