Read 25 books
Every year I set a personal reading challenge. Whether I hit the target number of books is secondary to the amount I enjoyed doing the reading.  This year I am particularly proud of the range in genres I covered, the number of first time female authors I read, and my improved ability to put a book down when it isn’t aligning to what I’m looking for in that moment all of which greatly increased my enjoyment reading this year.

Here are my top 3 recommendations from things to check out that I read in 2021:
1. Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Pérez

2. Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker

3. They Were Her Property: White Women as Slave Owners in the American South by Stephanie E. Jones-Rogers
