Data infrastructure has been the most consistent theme in my career, and after a few years away from the GTM front lines, I'm thrilled to join the pre-sales team at Fishtown Analytics. I discovered dbt about two years ago, and have been watching the team's progress closely since then. Over the past year, I've watched their community more than double in size, seen the excitement from users at their Coalesce conference, and watched vendors across the data ecosystem adopt dbt as the standard for data transformation. I'm biased, but I think that dbt is the most important open-source project in the data and analytics world right now, and is well-positioned to define what data integration means in the modern data ecosystem.
