Hired a new teammate to join me on the AXE Team.
Personally vetted and interviewed a handful of candidates to work with me on the AXE suite of enterprise web applications and selected the one I felt was the best fit. This was a big win as I was in my solo UX/Product Design role for nearly five years and had been pushing to expand the AXE Team.
After onboarding my new hire I became the UX Lead and was able to take on a more strategy and design-focused role after delegating the majority of front-end engineering responsibilities to them. I was then able to focus more on the user experience and less on coding and development.
