I took part in Futureland, a global Siemens hackathon. Our team was called the CIS Bright Sparks, and looked at the area of Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, a topic that interests me and I've recently written my placement dissertation on.
It was fantastic to be a part of a hard-working team and the teamwork paid off as we came within the top 13.5% of teams worldwide, placing 65th out of 480. We didn't win the top spot, but we won in personal achievement and team satisfaction!
My involvement was creating and delivering our pitches during the two days to the jury - I feel like I have come a long way from the shy girl that used to be scared to talk to anyone!
