I took part in Loughborough University Designathon, ran by Engineers Without Borders and Loughborough Design Society. The event was a 12 hour team-oriented design marathon, which had strong considerations for sustainability in the brief. Our team was called Three Pillars, to represent the 3 pillars of sustainable development: environmental, social and economical. We looked at the problems of developing countries and designed a solution to drive social, economic and environmental change in slums. It was great to work with people from other disciplines, and overall a great learning experience!
