I built and launched Oshare which is a web app that allows you to share links to files instead of the actual files with people.
Say you have a huge file of 1GB and you wish to share it with 10 people, all you have to do is to upload the file to Oshare and a link to the file will be returned and you get to share the link with them.
Anyone with the link has automatic access to the uploaded file and this file can be downloaded.
