Need feedback on a new icon set I‘m designing

After years of working in other fields, I‘m back in the icons scene. And to best announce my comeback, I‘m designing a new icon set called Spotless.

The Spotless icons collection will be for brands that need stock iconography as part of their brand identity but still get that unique look and feel.

But enough pitching. I‘d be happy to get some feedback from you. If you are a designer, marketer, or just an icons aficionado, let me know, and I‘ll give you the icons for free, for feedback and a review.

I‘m opening 5 spots for now. The rest will get the icons for half the price. Write to me if you are interested.

The feedback can gravitate around:
– What terms do you use when you search for a particular icon?
– How do you categorize large sets of icons?
– Potential double meaning of pictograms.
– General design style and cohesion.

A non-award winning designer

I‘m old-school. A dinosaur. Sixteen years in the making.

Throughout time, I‘ve been a website designer writing code in plain text, a CSS lover fixing browser bugs with awkward hacks, a UX designer trying to convince stakeholders of the importance of customer research, a product designer changing CEOs’ minds to build outcomes instead of features, and a mission-driven startup founder trying to redefine social media by redefining its business model.

But then, one morning, I questioned my entire work foundation. Do I need to keep climbing the career ladder? How can I rearrange my work to fully align with my life aspirations? The answer to the first question was a resounding no and an immediate sense of calm. The answer to the second question is reflected in the work I do nowadays at Ensage.

I decided to stop walking a thin line between maximum productivity and potential burnout. So instead, I took a different approach. I no longer felt compelled to pursue executive positions but embraced what I truly enjoyed doing—simplicity in creativity. Such an approach helped me narrow down my creative services while making my work more impactful to clients and more enjoyable to me.

Besides helping clients, you‘ll find me writing copy for UI Copy, selling icons at Pixel Bazaar, or inspiring people akin in spirit.

Want to know more about my past? The following was my previous description.

I spent half of the pandemic time building the Tribevibe community. It‘s an amalgamation of my experience in product design and strategy, combined with my mission to create a healthier social medium that emphasized offline experiences.

Earlier, I‘ve worked gazillion years as a freelance UX/UI and web designer, helping clients build websites, apps, logos, and stuff. I also had a successful career detour in icons design and recently teamed up with Alex to build UI Copy—a design plugin for writing better copy.

I haven‘t had much of academic background, although I was persistently hanging out at the university of philosophy for about three years, trying to find the truth, only to realize most philosophers led an unhappy life, which helped me understand that truth cannot be found intellectually.

Further down, we enter into my artistic years, where I found earnest expression in playing the piano and composing medieval/renaissance madrigals. Oh, not to forget my weird obsession as a child for building paper cities.

So, how did life bring me from philosophy and arts to technology and startups? Still a mystery to me. But I‘d like to think there is an invisible thread leading me to acquire diverse skills and use technology as a tool to help humanity bring back to itself.

If the Metaverse will use tech to create an illusion within an illusion, I‘ll use tech to show people where is the real playground. Therefore…

I embrace a moral responsibility to use technology for a better, more sustainable future, by designing for wellbeing, privacy, and security.
