Ned from New Jersey Web Festival is looking for Live Streamers, Founders and 2 more

Sponsor the World's First Film Festival Experience for Fiction Podcasts and Actual Play Content

I am an Executive Board Member of the New Jersey Web Festival and the creator of the Fiction Podcast / Actual Play wings at NJWF. You can learn more about the festival (including see attendee and participant reviews) here on FilmFreeway.

NJWF is one of the world's top-rated film festivals for web-based content and, as you will see from the reviews on our FilmFreeway page, is widely considered the most creator-focused experience on the international WebFest circuit. There's a lot of reasons for this, but the first is that it is a festival made by creators, for creators. Festival director Neem Basha is an award-winning filmmaker, and I am an actor, fiction podcaster, and filmmaker. Every decision is driven by asking ourselves, "What would I want if I were a creator attending the festival?" Screenings at a first-run movie theater, a luxurious dinner Gala, and masterclasses with industry powerhouses are just a few of the things creators experience during our four-day celebration.

In 2021, we expanded the web series festival to include Fiction Podcasts as we saw a need for this sort of recognition and experience in this vibrant and exciting community. We also wanted to provide those innovative creators with differentiators as they promote themselves for future opportunities. We had an incredible submission base and turnout in 2022 that surpassed 2021 and we are now looking to 2023 (which will also be the milestone 5th edition of our festival!)

For our 2023 edition, we are tackling the number 1 and 2 barriers-to-entry that creators have with festivals, as well as continuing to make the festival fairer, more equitable, and more representative across the board. We've created two lower-cost sponsorship opportunities specifically designed towards these goals, especially for creators from the global majority and historically underrepresented communities including BIPOC, LGBTQIA and/or Female-Identifying creators, and creators with disabilities.

The first opportunity is a Creator Scholarship Sponsorship at either $500 or $1,000 levels. You can learn more about this program here: https://bit.ly/NJWFScholarshipSponsor

The second opportunity is $7,500 and allows us to expand the number of judges we have for nomination and award consideration. You can learn more about this program here: https://bit.ly/NJWFJudgeSponsorship

You can see our current sponsors for these programs and learn a little more about our goals or intents here: https://www.newjerseywebfest.com/scholarship-and-sponsorship

I would love to chat with your team about either (or both) of these sponsorships and see if there is a good match between us! You can reach me here at this email, or feel free to book time on my calendar here.

Ned Donovan

Actor • Tech Founder • Multi-Hyphenate
Hey, I'm Ned. I would love to connect and see where there might be overlaps in our work. I am constantly looking for new partnerships across all my products and projects. Let's chat!

I'm a multi-hyphenate creative (one Fortune 500 executive called me a "factotum" in a job interview, which is the bougiest thing I've ever heard and I adore it), tech founder, entrepreneur, as well as an experienced executive assistant. I bring a unique skill set and perspective honed from working across a vast range of industries that can level up your project, team, or production.

Founder:

I have experience in industries such as entertainment, blockchain/cryptocurrency, SaaS apps, legal, finance, real estate, restaurants, and more. I am just as comfortable as an outward-facing member of a team, as I am an inward-facing person who helps bring the team to the next level.

As a producer/content creator I've won awards for my wide range of content, including podcasts, web series, and albums. Every project I undertake is designed to not just be content of the highest quality, but products you haven't seen before. I take pride in developing work that fills holes in industries rather than recycles previously successful content.

My podcast Encounter Party! has been downloaded over 350,000 times, spent 7+ weeks on Apple Podcasts' New & Noteworthy charts and has charted for Comedy Fiction in more than 50 Countries. The show has been featured by Nerdist, Syfy Wire, and more. I also produced for Millennial, a Radiotopia podcast created by Megan Tan.

Given my experience in both the podcast and web series spaces, I partnered with the New Jersey Web Festival (one of the world's top-rated festivals for web series) to expand their offering to include Fiction Podcasts. As an Executive Board Member I am working with them to continuously elevate and support underrepresented web mediums in the entertainment landscape.
