Quit a job
Today, I finished working at FINN.no. My first job in Norway, and my longest job as an engineer up until now.

When I joined the Infrastructure and Operations team almost four years ago, I have never worked on systems at such a scale: most of the 5 million Norwegians use FINN. What brought me to FINN was its impact on sustainability of Norwegians (FINN's marketplace helps people buy and sell used goods) and a culture that created a safe space for failure and learning.

I learned a great deal during those four years, about technologies, systems, and people. I had a chance to modernize a whole lot during this time. When FINN decided to move to the cloud in 2019, I was part of the cloud evaluation task force, and I wrote an internal sustainability report on our top cloud provider picks. This report was a factor in choosing the cloud provider FINN uses today. I'm pretty proud of this impact.

I'm taking the summer of to recharge and give myself space for spontaneity and creativity. In September, I will be starting a new job at another Norwegian company, this time as a software engineer working on cloud platforms.
