Last week I began my new role at Ignite (formerly Tendermint) (known for creating the proof-of-stake, inter-blockchain Cosmos network) as Head of Design for a new product to make eco-friendly blockchain-based experiences more safe, understandable, and welcoming.

Blockchain is a wild world right now with unique opportunities and challenges, but I've come to believe that it will have an important role to play in our future, and needs principled, creative, and experienced engagement to help identify its best uses and build products/services that enable human thriving. In my conversations with the team at Ignite, I was impressed with their thoughtful focus on long-term sustainability over quick profits, their track record of innovation, their culture of collaboration and transparency, and their respect for the craft and power of design. I’m excited to work with my new teammates to figure out how to use frontier tech to empower people for good around the world.
