I started my university career at the Karl Franzens University in Graz, where I began to study law immediately after graduating from high school.
My actual plan, however, was to pursue my interests and passions and study information design at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum Graz. In order to be admitted to this course, an admission process is required that consists of an application folder, an aptitude test, and a personal interview with the course director.
At the time of submission, I was not satisfied with my application portfolio, it was more like an incomplete product and therefore did not reflect my performance and interests.
Therefore, I decided to not hand in my application. So I started my law studies, my interest grew and so it came about that I studied at the Karl Franzens University for two years.
In the back of my mind, however, I was concerned with the fact that I have never tried to pursue my actual interests and apply to the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum.
I decided to go all in. I stopped studying at Karl Franzens University, prepared my portfolio, and handed in my application to study information design at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum.
After the application process, I received an email saying I am one of 50 students starting their studies of information design on October 3rd 2016.
I was overwhelmed, excited, and ready to start my journey.
