When you talk to the crypto-native founders about the value of basic user-centered design principles, they semi-patiently nod. Meanwhile their brains are churning out great reasons why they don't need any help, at least not right now.

The follow-up you get is predictable :

We think our current inhouse designer is really awesome ( typically a front-end coder who 'does great designs', which all seem to be white text on black backgrounds for some reason ) and may be we will hire another one in a year.
