I wrote my first lines of code at the age of 14, driven only by curiosity. My first programming language was Visual Basic, and I created a single application to save contact information on a binary file. At that moment, I knew I would be a programmer for life.
Since I graduated in Computer Science, I have been writing Web applications for different domains like business management, government, wholesales, retail, advertising, and healthcare. I worked as a full-stack developer responsible for creating the user interface, coding the back-end business rules, modeling the databases, and deploying the application. I also contributed to the teams' overall productivity by proposing improvements, writing tools, and automating laborious processes.
I am currently using my software engineering experience to help machine learning engineers deploy, monitor, and make their machine learning models scalable so they have more time to focus on modeling activities.
I firmly believe that sharing knowledge is vital for the success of teams, organizations, and the community. So I spend part of my free time on open-source projects, blogging, and speaking in meetups. Besides being a developer, I hold a Karate black belt and love to be a husband and father of two.
