Advance CRT Summer School 2023
Advance CRT is a Science Foundation Ireland Centre for Research Training focused on Future Networks and the Internet of Things with applications in sustainable and independent living.
My keynote spoke and engaged on
• the hill design thinking lives and dies on
• people and planet
• systems thinking using doughnut economics as a framework
• play and imagination and their role
in unlocking the future this was done through an interactive game exploring play, unique ideas and communication
I deliver keynotes and public speaking in an engaged, audience participation style. I don’t particularly like talking at people and consider keynotes in this way also.
It has been great to hear this cohort of 60 Phd researchers rated my keynote the highest out of all the speakers they heard that week. So
much so I’ve been invited to work with them again to explore their transition form researcher to enterprise or academia through a systems lens.
