Guested on The MVP Show
It is with a great honor that I participated to the famous The MVP Show hosted by Mark Smith. You can listen to our chat on the page of the episode.

It was an opportunity to share some details about myself and my journey becoming a Microsoft MVP.

After the investigation on the "Created by" and "Modified by" columns behavior in a canvas app + cloud flow + Microsoft Dataverse scenario, I wanted to go a bit deeper and explore the most different approach presented in my previous article.

For me, asynchronous design is the way to go when it is possible. In the following article I tried to present a solution based on this idea:  principle: Asynchronous data operations in Dataverse from a canvas app

Thanks to some advice of my fellow Microsoft MVP Théophile CHIN-NIN, I have updated 2 Power Fx formulas presented in my article:
  • use the ReductionFormula parameter of the LookUp function
  • use the With function to replace a duplication of code

Discovering a strange behavior in Microsoft Dataverse in a particular scenario at work, I thought it would be interesting to share the details with the rest of the community.

It can be disturbing to have wrong values in "Created by" and "Modified by" columns, but now you can find some explanations in the following article: “Created by” / “Modified by” columns behavior in a canvas app + cloud flow + Dataverse scenario

Few weeks back, I was thinking how I could clearly share details about the evolution of one of my open source projects in GitHub.

After I found an interesting way (from my point of view at least 😅), I decided to wrote a small article about this topic to keep a trace for myself and to share my learnings with the community: Tracking changes in open source projects

If you have other ideas do not hesitate to contact me 😊

GitHub issue template chooser is a really nice feature 🚀 allowing you to provide some redirect links in the Issue tab of a repository to guide visitors.
Coming through a sub-repository where the maintainers wanted to redirect people to a main repository for the creation of issues, I submitted the following PR proposing to add an issue template chooser which has been quickly approved and merged: Add issue template chooser in place of the "Please File Issues at..." issue 🎉

First milestone merged for the Power-Platform-DevOps/Power-Platform-ALM-Starter-Kit: Kit to help you start your DevOps journey with the Power Platform (github.com) repository 🎉

It covers the provisioning and decommissioning of a Power Platform environment from Azure DevOps.

Few interesting points regarding what we propose:
  • Create an environment only if it does not exist (based on the display name)
  • Automatically create the Power Platform service connection associated to the environment in Azure DevOps when it is deleted
  • Ability to provide a description and the Object ID of an Azure AD security group for the creation of the environment
  • Configuration of your environments in a configuration file to be sure all your environments are configured in the same "right" way
  • Ability to "unlink" an environment with Azure DevOps by deleting the associated connection
  • Automatically delete the Power Platform service connection associated to the environment in Azure DevOps when it is deleted
