Venture - Prototype designed for MIT Solve Global Challenge

we enter the SOLVE global challenge under the Future work category. "Venture - DREAM, impossibilities and beyond" Hybrid robot Chameleon design focused on concurring unpredictable challenges in autonomous missions using integrated design of biological mimicking.

Pitch of the main use case

Instead of compromising the safety of human lives for these ventures, our solution is the “Chameleon Inspired Hybrid Quadrupedal Robot ” that has the ability to move on substrates smaller than the diameter of the soft robot’s body and many other unpredictable terrains. The adaptation in climbing and walking of aborals is unique, especially for chameleons. Chameleon is a type of lizard which is small with strong grasping abilities and possesses a prehensile tail and their toes are fused into two opposable units which gives them superior abilities for locomotion on complex terrains and grasping capability to hold its body against falling. “Venture” is designed as a robot chameleon (a scale up version) which is capable of mimicking the gait pattern of the Chameleon equipped with a hybrid leg design. These legs are combination of motorized limbs with a pneumatically controlled soft feet.
