A sneak peek of something I'm working on right now! I'm currently developing the branding and web presence for a new worshipping community in NW Altadena, called Interwoven. In the words of the founder Harlan, Interwoven is a place where people from all walks of life can join in being woven together in spiritual community. It's a church that seeks to 'uplift the whole person — spiritually, emotionally, physically, and psychologically.'
The branding here is inspired by the language of being 'woven' or 'knit' — processes in which different threads or fabrics are brought together without losing their individuality. It was important to me to have the logo feel hand-hewn, to reflect the community's focus on authenticity; for that reason, we chose a pattern that that felt a but like an ink stamp. For the colors, we're using earthy tones to reflect the natural beauty Altadena, where the skyline is the mountains.
