Together with Geoff Summerhayes, won second place in the NMU International Programming Competition, having solved 5 of 6 problems in the allotted time. :)
My biggest takeaway from this: get to know the standard libraries that ship with your chosen programming language(s). Geoff knew the C++ STL like the back of his hand. It was a huge part of why were able to knock out solutions so quickly -- and with fewer defects, since we didn't have to reimplement basic algorithms ourselves.
