Hi all,
I'm a strange combination of writer, marketer,  and history academic.

But I have a confession to make...

Although I'm an experienced writer with both business experience and academic credibility. I only recently started to take my writing career seriously.

I've spent years doing side hustles and side projects related to writing.

I also handled a lot of copy when I was a partner in a boutique agency. However, I never fully committed to being a full-time writer until this year.

Have you ever had a thing that you really wanted to do and knew you would thrive at it but continuously delayed it?

If you find that relatable, then we're on the same page. That's how I was with writing, which is why this year I've dedicated myself to my goal of building my career as a professional writer.

I'm open to any and all opportunities to contribute my writing. Whether that's guest writing for a publication, ghostwriting high-value content, or writing your resume.

I joke that I'm a marketer by day and writer by night. Although most of what I do in marketing crosses over with writing.

I specialize in content strategy and helping businesses and brands figure out how to use words to achieve their marketing goals.

You might be wondering how my academic background in history fits into that. But I've come to realize that the skills of a historian translate really well to marketing.

Good marketing is telling a story. History is the same.

Marketing uses statistics and data to support that story. History uses similar sources.

Also, historians can quickly absorb vast amounts of information and distill it into easy-to-understand, cohesive ideas. The same skill is needed for effective marketing.

I'm new on here, so still figuring out the platform, but I hope to network and get to know other passionate, driven people and learn from them and contribute value however I can.
