This advice from my grandma probably explains my career path the best. I'm an award-winning author who can train your dog, coach you, read your palm, or wow you with any number of different random skills. 

All because I've spent the past few decades finding things I love to do and learning how to be paid well to do them (including: martial arts, theater, fiction, instructional design, and branding).
