Thinking deeply (again and always) about the fragility of safety in the spaces we (re)create for ourselves. Even in the absence of carnival and my desire to be on the road again, I am constantly trying to (re)imagine what liberation and safety looks like specifically for all Afro-Caribbean people in the region and diaspora when we engage with carnival.
